I admit I still have some bumpy and uneven face texture. Due to uneven dark spot and recent blemishes that I encountered, I decided to give this product a try. Went to Guardian store couple of months ago and was convinced by the promoter to try this brand out. Prior to that, I heard lot of positive review about this brand so I decided to give this product a try.
Uriage is a skin care brand that was founded in 1992 and is originally from France. Their main essential active ingredients in their skincare product is a thermal water that was discovered at the foothills of the Belledonne mountains by the Romans 2000 years ago. They realized that this water had healing properties and decided to build the first thermal center there. The Thermal Center has been helping to treat patients affected with skin diseases for almost 2 centuries.
The name of the brand Uriage was derived from the thermal water center itself as it was called Uriage Thermal Center, was built by Marquise de Gautheron, the owner of the Uriage château on her land on 1823. Very interesting history as you can read further at their main website URIAGE.
About Uriage Global Skin-Care
This is an offer promotion set that comes in three items i.e. I purchase the Global Skin Care and get EAU Thermal Water and Gel Cleanser for free. Such an amazing deal. I purchased this set at approximately MYR88. I have tried all product at one go but in this post I focus more on the main product i.e. URIAGE Global Skin-care.
Apparently this product is a global skin care that promotes the disappearance of skin blemishes (spotss, blackheads, and shines). The skin would appear matte and radiant as the skin textures is more refined and mattified. This product should suitable for those with oily skin with blemishes. I have a combination skin type and still have blemishes especially at my cheek and foreheads. Thats is why I decided to give this product a try.
The main active ingredients is the Uriage Thermal Water itself i.e. Aqua (Water), and other active ingredients such as DI-C-12-13-Alkyl Malate, Dicaprylyl Ether, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Tapioca Starch, Glycolic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Diglycerin, Glycerin, Malic Acid, Steareth-2, Steareth-21, Lactic Acid, Pentaerythrityl Distearate, Butylene Glycol, Acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Jojoba Esters, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Parfum (Fragrance), Peg-100 Stearate, Propanediol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polyglycerin-3, Piroctone Olamine, Xanthan Gum, Phytosphingosine, Lens Esculenta (Lentil) Fruit Extract, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Salicylic Acid, Zinc Lactate, Asiaticoside, Acacia Decurrens Flower Cera, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax, Phenoxyethanol, Glycyrrhiza Inflata Root Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Rhamnose, Glucose, Glucuronic Acid.
The product come in a white liquid form that absorb pretty fast into the skin. I love it scent as it smell like a green tea. However, among most of my product review, I would require at least a week to see if the product would fit me or not. Of course there are some products that would works and some did not. Unfortunately for this particular product I only used twice. Yes just Twice because I seriously cannot bare the itchiness on my skin after I apply this product on. Regardless the blemished part, or dark spot or still redness area, I just cant take it.
I tried to bare with the itchiness effects as my positive thoughts keep playing in my head “its okay, maybe that the post reaction of the product to treat my blemishes”. But my second trial makes me unable to bare the itchiness level. Its not only itchy, it also stings. From this experience, I realised that maybe some of the ingredients just not suitable for my skin. The itchiness would stays for awhile (approx 5 – 10 minutes) and I applied before bed so that I can forget the itchiness feeling and just fall into deep sleep.
I give this product 0/5 because it does not work for me. As much as I really want this product to work for me, I seriously cannot bare the itchiness level that I had when I apply this product on. I suffered twice and that is enough for me to give this product a go. I would consider to give this product away for those who can use it.
This product can be purchased at Guardian Store (approx MYR88) and I believe its available at other pharmacy too. In fact this product is also available online. Would you give this product a try? Until we meet again in my next post. XOXO
