Ever since Wardah made their introduction to Malaysian market sometimes ago in May 2017 (I was at their soft launch event – details here), I was waiting anxiously for this product line to be finally available at Watson or Giant. I was unable to do swatches for this product at the launch (No tester available). I remembered that my every weekend in June 2017 was my checking task at Watson Branch – either at The Curve or 1Utama and realized that Wardah Beauty Counter has yet to be available there. WHY?
Not until I encountered Wardah Beauty Counter at Watson IOI City mall and was told that Wardah is only available at few Watson branches i.e. IOI City Mall, Berjaya Times Square, Sunway Pyramid and KLCC. At IOI City mall branch, I was unable to get most of the items as most of them has sold out. The following week, I went to Berjaya Times Square to check the Wardah Beauty Counter at Watson and was so happy that more products still available there. So, I managed to grab few items from this line. Wanna know what other product that I purchased from this line?
Wardah Exclusive Matte Cream Liquid Lipstick is part of Exclusive series range and is available in 12 shades. This is a Light & Soft Lushlip Liquid Innovation and Colour Binding Pigments for Long Lasting Matte Finish. Apparently, this liquid Lipstick has a creamy velvety textures, dries matte with non-sticky formulation. This cream liquid lipstick with their perfect luxury color variations can last long on the lips throughout the day.
Based on my preference and available shades, I grabbed 4 shades i.e. #03 See You Latte, #08 Pinkcredible, #11 Oh So Nude! and #12 Pump It Up and below are the swatches:-
The shade #03 See You Latte is a Nude with pink undertone. In comparison with shade #11 Oh So Nude!, shade #11 is more nudey with more brownish shade as compared to shade #03. Compared to these two, I prefer shade #03 more for everyday look.
The shade #08 Pinkcredible is a bright pink shade with slight deeper tone and not too bright. This shade is still wearable for everyday look. The shade #12 Plump It Up is a deep red shade. Slightly like maroon for me. I prefer shade #12 more as compared #08 as I find this shade is more sexy for night date look.
Been using the products for few months now I think I should be able to give fair review about this product. I love the colour range as they are vast (i.e. 12 shades) to cater from Nude, Red, Pink and Plump shades. Of course I wont be using all the shades and as you can see I prefer the nude shades more than bright pink and red. The doe foot applicator is long and a bit slanted and flat at one side for easier application.
The products dries matte and as usual for liquid lipstick, its better to have clean canvas (no chapped and dry lips) otherwise the application and finishes wont be that smooth and clean. I usually will apply my lip balm prior to applying this liquid lipstick.
This products has a quite decent scent. For me its acceptable and the scent will disappears after it dries. I love that this liquid lipstick would dries fast. Although this liquid lipstick has matte finishes, it does not feel too drying. It feels lightweight and non-sticky. The pigmentation is great. As I glide the product on, I realised that I was able to have even coats with 2 layers. The coverage is buildable too but again, its better to ensure the lips is clean prior to reapply the product on.
However, this lipstick is not fully transfer proof and also not really meant for long wearing. I still need to reapply my lipstick after my lunch. Retail at MYR32.50, Wardah Beauty Line is also available at Watson Online. The price range is affordable and not that expensive. This is perfect for those who are looking for a good quality Liquid Lipstick without breaking the bank.
